1. Who this site is for
asianescapades.com is an independent guide to nightlife and travel in Southeast Asia. It is intended for adults aged 18 or over (or older, where the law where you are says so). It discusses bars, drinking, adult entertainment and dating frankly. If you are under 18, or that isn’t what you’re after, please don’t use it.
2. Information, not advice
Everything on this site is published for general information and entertainment. It is not legal advice, immigration advice, financial advice, medical advice, safety advice or relationship advice, and no professional relationship is created by reading it. Where a subject touches the law — visas, drugs, licensing, what the police can and cannot do — take proper advice from someone qualified in that jurisdiction. Where it touches your health, see a doctor.
3. Accuracy and change
Southeast Asia turns over faster than any guide can. Bars open, close, change hands and change names; prices move; visa rules change; hotel policies are rewritten without notice. We check what we publish, stamp every page with a “last verified” date and the method used, and correct things when we learn better — but we make no warranty of accuracy, completeness, currency or fitness for any purpose. Ratings, tiers and “Editors’ take” are opinion, clearly marked as such. Verify anything that matters before you rely on it.
4. Your own risk
You use this site, and you travel, entirely at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the publisher, its owners and its contributors accept no liability for any loss, injury, cost, disappointment or damage arising from your use of this site or from anything you do or don’t do as a result of reading it — including anything to do with a venue, hotel, airline, transport operator, visa authority or person mentioned here. Drink sensibly, obey local laws, respect the people who live there, and look after yourself and your mates.
5. Third-party businesses and links
Venues named on this site are independent businesses with no connection to us. We don’t endorse, supervise, warrant or take responsibility for them, their premises, their staff or their prices. Outbound links — including Google Maps links, hotel websites and the AsianDating partner links described in our disclosure — lead to sites we don’t control and whose terms and privacy policies are their own.
6. Content, copyright and reuse
The text, layout, code and original artwork on this site belong to the publisher. You’re welcome to quote briefly with attribution and a link, and machine-readable summaries are published at /llms.txt for anyone building tools — cite the source. You may not republish pages wholesale, scrape the site to rebuild it elsewhere, or present the content as your own. Photographs are a separate matter: most are Creative Commons material with their own licences and their own attribution requirements, all listed on the credits page.
7. What we won’t publish
For the avoidance of doubt: nothing on this site prices or promotes sexual services; nothing describes sexual activity explicitly; nothing involves anyone under 18, in any framing; and no personal details of bar staff are published. Correspondence attempting to get any of that published is deleted, and anything involving a minor is reported.
8. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated; the date at the top of the page changes when they are, and using the site afterwards means you accept the new version. If a court finds any part of them unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
