The LK Metropole is one of roughly twenty-one hotels the LK Group runs in central Pattaya, and it is the one worth knowing about, because it stands on LK Metro itself. Walk out of the lobby and you are on the short L-shaped lane that holds a dozen-plus go-go bars, a row of beer bars and two or three sports bars, at 15–20% under Walking Street prices. No baht bus, no walk home in the rain.
It runs seven room categories across a main building and some older blocks, and what you are buying is space and position: rooms are large, most have a balcony and many a kitchenette, breakfast is included on most rates and is cooked to order, and there is a gym, a sauna, a massage room, free parking and a 24-hour desk. Guests consistently report the rooms are quieter at night than the address suggests.
Be clear-eyed about the rest. Reviewers through 2024–26 describe the decor as dated and worn and the outdoor pool as small, and some report being put in an older block without a lift — say what you need at the time of booking. It is a functional hotel on a superb corner, not a smart one.
Position: Soi Buakhao is one to two minutes, Soi Diana Inn two, Beach Road about nine, Soi 7 and Soi 8 eleven, Walking Street 1.67 km — twenty minutes on foot or one baht bus at $0.45–0.60 (฿15–20). Areca Lodge is three minutes away.
Guest policy, reported by listing sites quoting the hotel and reconfirmed in November 2025: a second person invited to the room is not charged; a third person is billed ฿500. ID is held at reception and the minimum visitor age is 19. Confirm at check-in — how guest-friendly works has the wording to use. Rates run about $40–70 (฿1,300–2,300).
