The Holiday Inn Resort Phuket is the chain resort on Thaweewong Road, the beach road, directly opposite Patong Beach and about eight minutes' walk south of Bangla Road. It is split into two halves that feel like different hotels: the contemporary, family-heavy Main Wing, and the Busakorn Premium Wing of Thai-designed rooms and villas with two pools of its own — the resort's own phrase for it is "a resort within a resort".

There are four pools altogether, including a children's pool with waterslides and fountains, three restaurants — Charm Thai, Terrazzo Ristorante and Sam's Steaks & Grill — plus the Sea Breeze café and a grab-and-go counter, a spa, a gym and a kids' club. Check-in is 15:00 and check-out 12:00. It is the most reliable big-brand resort in Patong and the one to book if you want chain standards on the beach road.
