The Sabai Lodge was, for years, the North Pattaya hotel regulars recommended without thinking. It closed on 1 October 2023 when the property split from the Sabai Group, and the same building reopened as S Lodge Pattaya, which is how it now trades and how you should book it. If a listing still says "Sabai Lodge", check what you are buying — and do not confuse it with the group's separate Sabai Sabana and Sabai Inn, both of which are also on or beside Soi 2.
What it is: a low-rise hotel of roughly 130 rooms on Pattaya Soi 2, mid-soi between Beach Road and Second Road near the Dolphin roundabout, built around two pools — a main one with a bar, and a quieter second one. The property describes itself as the only low-rise hotel in the area, which after a week of towers is a real selling point. There is a restaurant and lobby bar, a pool table, massage, free parking, an airport shuttle and a 24-hour desk. Note that guests reported in 2026 that the breakfast service has been withdrawn, so check before you assume breakfast is included.
Position: the beach is 340 metres and about five minutes away, Terminal 21 is close, and Soi 6 — the most direct and cheapest bar street in the city, and an afternoon scene — is 900 metres, about eleven minutes on foot. Soi 7 and Soi 8 are sixteen to nineteen. Walking Street is 2.7 km and LK Metro 2.3 km, which realistically means a $0.45–0.60 (฿15–20) baht bus each way. This is a base for the north end of the city, not for all of it.
Guest policy, as reported by listing sites reconfirmed in January 2026: one visitor at no charge, ID held at reception, minimum visitor age 18, with a ฿500 charge if you bring a second. One 2026 guest report says there is now no deposit and no fee at all. The property changed hands at the rebrand and the current policy has not been independently reconfirmed since, so treat this as indicative and ask at the desk — see how guest-friendly works.
Rates start around $22 (฿750) and average nearer $40. Reviewers in 2025–26 praise the pools, the cleaning and the staff, and report damp, thin walls, hard beds and very few power outlets in the older standard rooms. Ask to see the room.
